dQM CMS Content Implementation Guide
2026.1.0 - CI Build
dQM CMS Content Implementation Guide, published by cqframework. This guide is not an authorized publication; it is the continuous build for version 2026.1.0 built by the FHIR (HL7® FHIR® Standard) CI Build. This version is based on the current content of https://github.com/cqframework/dqm-content-cms-2026/ and changes regularly. See the Directory of published versions

These define sets of codes used by systems conforming to this implementation guide.
| Age Stratified Example Age Groups |
establishes types of stratification for use in identifying subgroups of populations. These stratifications are often, but not exclusively, used in quality measurement. |
| Alanine Transaminase (ALT/SGPT) Lab Tests |

| Alkaline Phosphatase Lab Tests |
LOINC codes for alkaline phosphatase laboratory observations |
| Aspartate Transaminase (AST/SGOT) Lab Tests |
LOINC codes for AST (SGOT) laboratory observations |
| Bacteria and Fungi - HOB Specific |
LOCAL STARTER VALUE SET (not sourced from VSAC). Placeholder for the HOB ‘Bacteria and Fungi - HOB Specific’ organism value set, which is still ‘TBD’ in HOB.cql. Derived from the HOBOrganismTaxonomy table: all organisms not flagged nhsn_skin_commensal. NOTE the taxonomy table is itself a work in progress (currently an alphabetical fragment), so this expansion is incomplete and intended only to exercise the HOB numerator logic locally. Replace with the authoritative expansion once published. |

| Tumor Size Observations |
LOINC and SNOMED-CT codes for observations recording tumor size, used in pathology and imaging reports |
These define new code systems used by systems conforming to this implementation guide.
| HOB Organism Taxonomy - SNOMED CT Supplement |
SNOMED CT code system supplement carrying the NHSN HOB organism-taxonomy rollup and classification properties. Generated from the OrganismTaxonomy expression in the HOBOrganismTaxonomy CQL library (the source is a work-in-progress alphabetical fragment, so this supplement is incomplete). The source columns roll_up_genus_level / roll_up_species_level are omitted because they are fully implied by the presence of the roll-up-genus / roll-up-species properties, and the always-null ‘L’ column is omitted. Genus/species preferred terms are carried as the display of each Coding-valued property. |
