HL7 Europe Imaging Report R5, published by HL7 Europe. This guide is not an authorized publication; it is the continuous build for version 0.1.1-build built by the FHIR (HL7® FHIR® Standard) CI Build. This version is based on the current content of https://github.com/hl7-eu/imaging-r5/ and changes regularly. See the Directory of published versions
This page illustrates the imaging report specific limitations and extensions required to include imaging reports in the EU Health Data API.
The [EU Health Data API](https://build.fhir.org/ig/euridice-org/eu-health-data-api/en/) specification currently only supports FHIR R4. In this specification the R5 equivalents are presented in line with this choices in this specification. These artifacts will have to be updated when the [EU Health Data API](https://build.fhir.org/ig/euridice-org/eu-health-data-api/en/) has an R5 equivalent.
This specification builds on the actors defined in EU Health Data API. For the main actors, imaging report specific versions are defined.
The different actors defined in this specification are presented in the figure below (marked in blue).
The main actors Document Access Provider and Document Consumer are refined in this specification and imaging report specific versions are defined.
In this model each imaging report is represented by a DocumentReferenceImagingReport and a BundleReportEuImaging.
This specification builds on the actors defined in EU Health Data API.
Note that resource level access requires that document level access is supported as well. The different actors defined in this specification are presented in the figure below (marked in blue).
The main actors Resource Access Provider and Resource Consumer are refined in this specification and imaging report specific versions are defined.
The requirements related to each actor are reflected by capability statements that are listed below.
| Name | Title | Description |
| EEHRxFImagingReportDocumentAccessProvider | EEHRxF Imaging Report Document Access Provider CapabilityStatement | CapabilityStatement for the EEHRxF Imaging Report Document Access Provider actor. This composite actor provides access to EEHRxF FHIR Documents by serving them to Document Consumers via query APIs. |
| EEHRxFImagingReportDocumentConsumer | EEHRxF ImagingReport Document Consumer CapabilityStatement | CapabilityStatement for the EEHRxF Imaging Report Document Consumer actor. This composite actor consumes EEHRxF FHIR Imaging Report Documents by querying a Imaging Report Document Access Provider. |
| EEHRxFResourceAccessProvider | EEHRxF Imaging Report Resource Access Provider CapabilityStatement | CapabilityStatement for the EEHRxF Imaging Report Resource Access Provider actor. This actor serves clinical data resources following the International Patient Access (IPA) patterns and IHE QEDm Clinical Data Source capabilities. |
| EEHRxFResourceConsumer | EEHRxF Imaging Report Resource Consumer CapabilityStatement | CapabilityStatement for the EEHRxF Imaging Report Resource Consumer actor. This actor queries for clinical data resources following the International Patient Access (IPA) patterns and IHE QEDm Clinical Data Consumer capabilities. |
