Vital Signs Cross-Country Cross-Language Cross-Paradigm (Demo) IG
0.5.4 - ci-build

Vital Signs Cross-Country Cross-Language Cross-Paradigm (Demo) IG, published by FO. This guide is not an authorized publication; it is the continuous build for version 0.5.4 built by the FHIR (HL7® FHIR® Standard) CI Build. This version is based on the current content of https://github.com/frankoemig/vital-signs-demo/ and changes regularly. See the Directory of published versions

v2 Profile: Pulse Pressure Blood Pressure

Supplementary Models

The following models only needed to help with the specification itself.

LM for an abstract segment

This LM operates as a base for adding further fields and to aggregate into segment groups

OBX Blood Pressure Segment Group

This profile should describe in which way the segment instances for PID, OBX and REL belong together

OBX Segment LM

LM for relevant attributes of OBX Segment (Observation in v2.x)

PID Segment LM

LM for relevant attributes of PID Segment (Patient in v2.x)

REL Segment LM

LM for relevant attributes of REL Segment (Patient in v2.x)

Segment Group LM

Segment Group for Blood Pressure Observations

V3/CDA LMs

The following models are used with HL7 V3/CDA. Unfortunately, they are not yet worked out.

LM for CDA representation

This is a draft LM for CDA. (It still requires modifications comparable to the OBX representation in form of slicing.)

FHIR Profiles (old/current)

The FHIR profiles are in current use and requires modification.

Blood Pressure in ISiK

Blood Pressure according to ISiK

US Core Blood Pressure Profile

US Core Blood Pressure Profile inherits from the US Core Vital Signs Profile. This profile sets minimum expectations for the Observation resource to record, search, and fetch diastolic and systolic blood pressure observations with standard LOINC codes and UCUM units of measure. It specifies which additional core elements, extensions, vocabularies, and value sets SHALL be present in the resource and constrains how the elements are used. Providing the floor for standards development for specific use cases promotes interoperability and adoption.

FHIR Profiles (new)

The proposals for (new(/updated) FHIR profiles.

US Core Blood Pressure Profile (modified, using extensions)

US Core Blood Pressure Profile inherits from the US Core Vital Signs Profile. This profile sets minimum expectations for the Observation resource to record, search, and fetch diastolic and systolic blood pressure observations with standard LOINC codes and UCUM units of measure. It specifies which additional core elements, extensions, vocabularies, and value sets SHALL be present in the resource and constrains how the elements are used. Providing the floor for standards development for specific use cases promotes interoperability and adoption.

This is the modified version - not yet fully complete/verified!!!!

US Core Blood Pressure Profile (modified, using more components, alternative version)

This is the modified version - not yet fully complete/verified!!!!

In contrast to the other version, this one uses more components instead of extensions…

US Core Vital Signs (modified)

This is a draft of the modified version for vital signs - not yet fully complete/verified!!!!
