This IG uses also a profile from the specification International Patient Summary IG (IPS) . Implementers of this specification must understand some basic information about the underlying specifications listed above.

The DICOM® version used in this IG is the 2021d release. The packaged value sets coming from DICOM within fhir.dicom are referenced many times in the different profiles of this IG.
