Artifacts Summary

This page provides a list of the FHIR artifacts defined as part of this implementation guide.

Structures: Resource Profiles

These define constraints on FHIR resources for systems conforming to this implementation guide.

Average Blood Pressure

A calculated average of two or more blood pressure readings in a specified time period or according to a specified algorithm or protocol. The average blood pressure has a systolic and a diastolic component.

Blood Pressure Panel

Blood Pressure Panel; a grouping of systolic and diastolic blood pressure components.

Heart Rate

The number of heart beats in a minute.

Maximum Blood Pressure Panel

The highest measured systolic and diastolic blood pressures measured during a given time frame.

Minimum Blood Pressure Panel

The lowest measured systolic and diastolic blood pressures measured during a given time frame.

Twenty Four Hour Blood Pressure

An average blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) over a twenty four hour period.

Structures: Extension Definitions

These define constraints on FHIR data types for systems conforming to this implementation guide.

Associated Situation

Situations that may affect the measurement or assessment.

Date and Time of Calculation

A time stamp that indicates when the calculation of a result was made.

Exercise Association

The exercise state associated with the measurement.

Measurement Protocol

The system or defined process used in a measurement.

Measurement Setting

The location or setting the subject was in when the measurement was obtained. For example, home, clinic, hospital. etc.

Number of Measurements

A count of the number of measurements used in a calculation, such as Average Blood Pressure.

Sleep Status

The state of wakefulness during the measurement.

Terminology: Value Sets

These define sets of codes used by systems conforming to this implementation guide.

Blood Pressure Measurement Body Location Precoordinated value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values that describe the location on the body where the blood pressure was measured.

Blood Pressure Measurement Method value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values that describe how a blood pressure was measured.

Body Position value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values the position in which the individual was in during a measurement.

Exertion Phase value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values that contains terms for exercise associated with a measurement.

Heart Rate Measurement Body Location Precoordinated value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values that describe where on the body the heart rate was measured.

Heart Rate Measurement Device value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values that describe the instrument used to measure the heart rate.

Heart Rate Measurement Method value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values that describe how the heart rate was measured.

Measurement Protocol value set

Temporary cody system values that describe teh set of rules used for a given measurement procedure.

Measurement Setting value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values that contains terms that indicate the surroundings the individual was in during the measurement (i.e. home, clinic, hospital, etc.).

Numeric Result Interpretation value set

The HL7 V3:ObservationInterpretation code set (OID: 2.16.840.1.113883.5.83) that describes interpretations associated with a measured value.

Sleep Status value set

SELECT SNOMED CT code system values that contains terms used to indicate the state of wakefulness during measurement.

Terminology: Code Systems

These define new code systems used by systems conforming to this implementation guide.

HSPC Organization Type Code System

The set of codes that describe a kind of organization.

Measurement Protocol Temporary Code System

This is a temporary code system for terms that are not yet defined in either SNOMED CT nor Solor. This will be deprecated when the terms are defined in either of those systems.

SNOMED CT Solor Extension Temporary Code System

A set of codes that are defined in the Solor extension to the SNOMED CT code system. To be used until they are adopted by SNOMED CT.

Example: Example Instances

These are example instances that show what data produced and consumed by systems conforming with this implementation guide might look like.
