Hepatitis B testing is recommended for at-risk women. HBsAg laboratory-based immunoassay is the preferred method for testing for Hep B infection in pregnancy; if immunoassay is not available, HBsAg rapid diagnostic test (RDT) is recommended over dried blood spot (DBS) HBsAg testing.
