Used to send data needed to respond to emerging public health issues from jurisdictions to NCHS.

EmergingIssues profile supports placeholder fields required for 2022 submissions to NCHS. NCHS will issue instructions regarding their use as need arises. There are 6 1-char fields (PLACE1_1-6), 3 8-char fields (PLACE8_1-3), and one 20-char field (PLACE20-1).
