Bundle.entry[16] contains a resource that is valid per the open slicing rules of TOC-Bundle but does not match any named slice. The TOC-Bundle profile uses open slicing to allow additional resource types beyond those explicitly defined, so this unmatched entry is intentional and conformant.

Configuration Parameters set to 'pin-canonicals: pin-multiples' in sushi-config.yaml to support multiple versions. Multiple US Core versions are brought in as transitive dependencies from pacio-adi, pacio-pfe, and smp packages. The publisher correctly pins to 8.0.1 (the directly declared version). These messages are expected and safe to suppress.

The IG Publisher is validating against an outdated NDC version from 2021. We previously added NDC codes to our examples and adding them to ignoreWarnings.txt to suppress them but the IG Publisher is still flagging errors. Therefore we are just not including them for now.

The TOC-Bundle uses open slicing, meaning resources that don't match a named slice are still permitted — the validator message is expected and not a conformance violation.

The messages are related with US Core DocumentReference for which the TOCDocumentReference profile derives. The changes related to this error therefore should be made by the US Core authors and Cross-Group Projects who are the stewards of this profile.

There is no hl7.fhir.us.ccda#1.8.0 listed in the CCDA IG. The most current version listed is 1.2.0: https://hl7.org/fhir/us/ccda/history.html

There is ongoing discussion on whether the IG Publisher should be checking conformance verbs directly within a narrative with some stating that these messages should be suppressed. These are local codes that are specific to the context of Transition of Care (ToC). Still, the PACIO ToC team intends to continue following the process to work with LOINC and SNOMED to add these codes.
