Indicates what role(s) the dependency is playing. Dependencies can play multiple roles. A dependency that does not state any roles is assumed to play the default role (i.e. there is no need to state that a dependency plays the default role, but the code is used in the include parameter to indicate whether default dependencies are included in a package).
