The fact of death and the date and time it occurred, together with the coded place of death and a reference to the death location. This profile derives from the VRDR Death Date observation and tightens it for notification use: a value is always present, and the coded place of death is always present even when no Location resource is sent. This observation is the authoritative carrier of the date and time of death within a notification. A void notification conveys this observation with status 'entered-in-error'.
