Support the management of structured documents.
Structured documents are an important method of facilitating the exchange of information to support care. Documents are often considered to be more permanent in nature; messages are often considered to be more transitory in nature. Examples of structured documents include: a referral from a primary care physician to a specialist; a medical summary; a discharge instruction for the patient.
