Statement N:

Manage Personal Health Record electronic documents that provide the patients direction for end-of-life care and manage other types of Advance Directives.

 Description I:

Advanced directives may need to be harmonized with external systems (e.g., Personal Health record system).

 Criteria N:
AS.3.2.2#01 SHOULD

The system SHOULD provide the ability to manage Personal Health Record files and documents related to Advance Directives and end of life care directives (e.g., living will, do not resuscitate orders).
AS.3.2.2#02 SHOULD

The system SHOULD provide the ability to render a sorted list of end of life care directives based on one or more defined data elements.
AS.3.2.2#03 MAY

The system MAY provide the ability to render a list of documents by category of document (e.g., Active, Non Active, Obsolete).
AS.3.2.2#04 SHOULD

The system SHOULD maintain a list of the location of advanced directives, end-of-life care directives.
