This profile is based on the Patient resource and establishes the core elements, extensions, vocabularies and value sets for representing a patient for central cancer registry reporting.

The registered place of birth of the patient. A sytem may use the address.text if they don't store the birthPlace address in discrete elements.

Usually modifier elements provide negation or qualification. To make the use of extensions safe and manageable, there is a strict set of governance applied to the definition and use of extensions.
