Description I:

Relationships by genealogy may include genetic mother, next of kin, or family members. Appropriate consents must be acquired prior to the collection or use of this information.

Criteria N:
CPS.1.6.1#01 SHALL

The system SHALL provide the ability to capture, maintain and render genealogical relationship information.
CPS.1.6.1#02 SHALL

The system SHALL provide the ability to extract the identity of persons related by genealogy to the patient.
CPS.1.6.1#03 SHOULD

The system SHOULD provide the ability to capture, maintain and render patient consents to enable patient records to be viewed for the purposes of a genealogical family member's family medical history.

The system SHOULD provide the ability to transmit family history entries to the Personal Health Records (PHRs) of family members according to scope of practice, organizational policy, and/or jurisdictional law.
