Description I:

Guidelines, and protocols presented for planning care may be site specific, community or industry-wide standards.

Criteria N:
CP.7.1#01 SHALL

The system SHALL provide the ability to present current guidelines and protocols to providers who are creating plans for treatment and care.
CP.7.1#02 SHOULD

The system SHOULD provide the ability to render a guideline or protocol based on appropriate criteria (such as problem or medication).
CP.7.1#03 SHALL profiled

The system SHALL provide the ability to render previously used guidelines and protocols for historical or legal purposes. For Dental, examples of professional care guidelines include periodontal disease guidelines or caries disease guidelines.
CP.7.1#04 SHALL conditional

IF decision support prompts are used to support a specific clinical guideline or protocol, THEN the system SHALL conform to function CPS.3.8 (Manage Documentation of Clinician Response to Decision Support Prompts).
CP.7.1#05 SHALL conditional

IF the system supports context sensitive care plans, guidelines and protocols, THEN the system SHALL conform to function CPS.3.4 (Support for Context-Sensitive Care Plans, Guidelines, Protocols).
