This extension applies to the List resource and is used to represent a narrative description of the change to an item in a list entry. The narrative description may include the reason for the change to an item.

This extension may be used on the following element(s):

  • Element ID List.entry

Usage Notes

Profile specific implementation guidance:

  • This extension can be used in conjunction with List.entry.flag to provide associated narrative for the flag. For example, a medication list with an item flagged as “ceased” may include the reason for cessation in this extension.
